Hardware Installation

Please follow below steps to setup MiraScreen cable / adapter:

(1) Connect MiraScreen to your TV (Monitor or Projector)

(2) Connect the USB type-A plug with an external (5V1A) adapter.

(3a) iOS: Connect your iOS* device and MiraScreen with Lightning cable

(3b) Android: Connect your Android device and MiraScreen with Android data cable

(4) If the HDMI source is set correctly, you should see the MiraScreen setup screen on TV

 

For iOS (iPhone/iPad) Device

After hardware installation properly, your iOS will show up Trust This Computer message, please click on Trust and then enter your passcode to unlock MiraScreen connection.

Wait for a few seconds and then the screen of your iOS device will be shown on TV.

Note: Support iOS 10 and above.

Note: Some iOS devices may popup This accessory may not be supported. This is a normal notification, please feel at ease using it.

 

Firmware OTA Upgrade using iOS device

(1) Insert a paper clip into the hole on the MiraScreen dongle, and push the key inside the hole to enable Setup mode

(2) Enable Personal Hotspot of your iOS device

Note: Cellular (3G/4G) data is needed at your iOS device

(3) Download EZCast App, launch it. Click the Wire button on top to establish connection, and then click the Menu Button on left.

(4) Click the Firmware OTA button.

Note: Please DO NOT power off during upgrade.

 

Setup using iOS device

(1) Insert a paper clip into the hole on the MiraScreen, and push the key inside the hole to enable Setup mode

(2) Follow below steps to turn on the Setup control keypad

 

For Android Device

Please download EZCast App from Google play (Android). You may also scan the QR code on TV screen for download.

 

Method 1 Google Home Mirror

Step 1: Download Google Home App from Google Play.

Step 2: Enable USB tethering of your Android device.

Step 3: Please launch Google Home App, login with your Google account. Click on Account button and Mirror device.

Step 4: Select MiraScreen as the receiver of Google Home mirror.

Note: If Google Home can NOT find MiraScreen, please turn OFF your Android’s WiFi and then turn ON WiFi again for retry.

 

Method 2 Android ADB Mirror

Step 1: Please launch the EZCast App, and click the Connect button. Wait for show up of guiding message, and then click on OK button.

Step 2: Turn on Developer Options and USB debugging.

Note: You could find Developer Options under Android > Settings.

Step 3: Click on OK and START NOW to start mirroring.

Note: If ADB Mirror failed to enable, please re-plug USB cable and retry.

Note: Supports Android 4.4 and above

Note: Not all Android 4.4 devices support USB Mirror.

 

Android ADB Mode Audio Control

Some Android devices might fail to convey audio through ADB Mode. Please use below alternatives for switching audio to Android’s speaker.

Press audio switch button on MiraScreen. You may also see the sound status change on the right-top as shown below.

Method 3 EZCast App Mirror

Step 1: Enable USB tethering of your Android device.

Step 2: Please launch the EZCast App, and click the Mirror button.

Step 3: Wait a few seconds, and then click START NOW to enable EZCast App Mirror.

Note: Mirror On only available on Android 5.0 and above

 

Firmware OTA Upgrade using Android device

Step 1: Enable USB tethering of your Android device.

Step 2: Please launch the EZCast App, and click the Menu button.

Step 3: Click the Firmware button for firmware OTA upgrade.

IMPORTANT: Please do NOT turn off power during OTA upgrade.

 

Setup using Android device

Step 1: Enable USB tethering of your Android device.

Step 2: Please launch the EZCast App, and click the Menu button.

Step 3: Click the Settings button, and then the control keypad will show up.

 

  Repair Tool

In rare events where you might have trouble OTA the dongle firmware to the latest version, you may consider using the Repair Tool to upgrade your MiraScreen.
